A+ / Computer Maintenance Schedule

The schedule below is general guideline of how the course material may be presented. It is important to remain focused on student competencies and comprehension of the subject matter. There will also be LABS or hands-on time as we learn what component we'll be handling and how it fits in to the box we call a PC. Each piece has a critical role, a specific function and a contribution to the operation of the PC.

Students must not only learn about the hardware but also the Windows XP operating System (OS). The A+ certification focuses on early Windows OS's and even the DOS OS. Troubleshooting skills and client communications will be taught throughout.

Students have been supplied with an A+ Test bank to help them prepare for their A+ exams. Each student must study outside of class to achieve success in their Certicfication testing. An electronic copy of their textbook has provided via the Student Resources Link to the left.
