A+/PC Maintenance Class

 

This course focuses on the in-depth study using certification focused content as required to pass the CompTIA A+ Certification. The book authored by Mike Meyers is used as the primary text and is enhanced with his A+ Video Training Series and Lab Manuals.

 

The complete student hardware kit (see below) is used by each student to as they learn to assemble and disassemble real PCs. Troubleshooting techniques and software configurations are explored.

From the PHS Course Catalog:

"This course provides students the opportunity to solve real-life computer maintenance problems. The focus will be on the assembly and disassembly of modern computer systems and system upgrades. Students will install, configure, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance on PCs and local area networks. Computer Maintenance will help prepare students to pass the CompTIA A+ Certification exams, which certifies the competency of entry-level computer technicians."
